Old chairs are an endangered species: uneconomic to repair,
once they start to sag or wobble many are simply thrown away.
Yet they're often beautiful and of fine quality;
reviving them could be a good investment, and easier than you think.
I always have distressed chairs in stock and sell the materials required to restore them: - cane and seagrass for woven seats and hessian, calico, etc. for stuffed ones. Upholstery classes are available locally.
Alternatively, our in-house upholsterer Nora can do the job for you. She also sells odd armchairs, which can be covered in your own fabric. Visit Nora Beroual
